Main technical parameters of twin screw extruder
Main technical parameters of twin screw extruder① Screw diameter: refers to the outer diameter of the screw, in mm. For a changing diameter or tapered twin screw, this is a variable value and it should be indicated which end diameter. The screw diameter of the twin screw extruder is 28~340mm. The larger the diameter, the greater the extrusion capacity of the characterizing equipment.
②Screw length to diameter ratio: refers to the ratio of the effective length of the screw to the outer diameter of the screw. For the integral twin screw, the length to diameter ratio is fixed, generally 7 to 18; for the combined twin screw, the length to diameter ratio is variable, and some can even reach 36:1.
③ Screw steering: divided into co-rotation and counter-rotation. The twin screw extruder with the same direction is mostly used for mixing, and the twin screw extruder with opposite rotation is mostly used for extruding products.
④Drive power: refers to the power of the motor driving the screw, the unit is kW.
⑤ Torque the screw bears: The torque load that the twin screw extruder bears is large. In order to characterize its carrying capacity and protect the safe operation of the extruder, the maximum torque that the screw can withstand should be listed in its specification parameters, which cannot be exceeded during work. The unit is kg.m.
⑥ The bearing capacity of thrust bearings: Thrust bearings are an important component in twin-screw extruders, and this index is generally given in the product specifications.
⑦Range of screw revolution: nmin~nmax, nmin is the lowest revolution, nmax is the highest revolution.
⑧Heating power and number of heating sections: The unit of heating power is kW.
⑨Output: unit is kg/h
