Linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE)
Low density polyethylene is also called high pressure polyethylene, often abbreviated as LDPE. It is milky white, odorless, odorless, non-toxic, wax-like particles with matte surface. The density is 0.91g / cm3-0.93g / cm3, which is the lightest variety in polyethylene resin. Has good flexibility, extensibility, electrical insulation, transparency, ease of processing and a certain degree of breathability. It has good chemical stability, alkali resistance and general organic solvent resistance.
LLDPE is a copolymer of ethylene and a small amount of higher A-olefin polymerized in the presence of a catalyst. The appearance of LLDPE is similar to LDPE, but its transparency is lower, but its surface gloss is good. It has the advantages of low temperature toughness, high modulus, bending resistance and stress crack resistance, and better impact strength at low temperature.
LLDPE applications have penetrated almost all LDPE markets. At this stage, LLDPE and HDPE are in the growth stage of the life cycle; LDPE gradually entered the stage of development and maturity in the late 1980s, and few LDPE equipments have been put into production in the world.
Molding method: Polyethylene can be molded by extrusion, injection, molding, blow molding and melt spinning.
Uses: Widely used in industry, agriculture, packaging and daily industries. It is widely used in China. The film is its largest user, consuming about 77% of low-density polyethylene and 18% of high-density polyethylene. In addition, injection molded products, Wire and cable, hollow products, etc. all occupy a large proportion in their consumption structure, and occupy a pivotal position in the plastics industry.
